This message is for all the people out their who love to read blogs. I am so bad about writing on my blog and hope you can forgive the lack of up to date information on this page because I am good at making web pages but lousy at blogs!

January 21 Arts and Sciences Meeting

The next Arts and Sciences meeting will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 21, at the Altoona Library. We will be discussing the itinerary, selecting poems, and assigning recipes for the January 27th Burns Night Supper.

In addition to working on the feast itinerary, we will also be discussing ideas for future A & S classes. So, please plan to attend and bring your suggestions with you. Hope to see you there!

Warwick Themed Feast!

January “Themed” Feast and Court

Who: All members of Warwick and guests

What: Burns Night Supper

When: Saturday, January 27, 2007 – 6 p.m.

Where: Estate of Lady Anne Nevyll

Why: Because the members of Warwick have expressed an interest in holding periodic themed feasts and because it is January, it seems appropriate our first shall be held in the form of a traditional Scottish Burns Night Supper. On 25, January, Scots around the world celebrate the life and works of their beloved Scottish poet, Robert Burns. The festivities consist of a traditional Scottish meal, the drinking of Scotch whisky, Scottish music, and the reading of many of the Bards works.

If you are interested in signing up as a server, bringing a menu item, or offering your assistance in some other way, please contact Lady Anne Nevyll (dafitzgerald@mchsi.com) NO LATER THAN Monday, January 22nd.

Want to learn some period dances?

The next Medieval/Renaissance Arts and Sciences class will be held on Sunday, November 19 at 2 o’clock p.m. at the Altoona Public Library. This will be the first official period dance class in a series.* We will begin with learning basic terms, dance etiquette and steps involved in traditional Scottish country dance and then have fun putting our learning to the test with a simple Scottish dance. Please come prepared with comfortable shoes and clothing. If you have any questions, please contact Lady Anne Nevyll dafitzgerald@mchsi.com

End of the year is near

Yes the end of the year is near and what a fun and exciting year we have had. Even though the season of faire's is over for the year Warwick members are still out to have fun, weekly sword lessons, archery practice and tournaments, arts and sciences classes, and much more. Warwick members will also get togeather to do other activities such as movies, bowling, roller skating, and any other activities members may come up with.
